Who We Are
SPORE is a not-for-profit organization emerging from the Denver Psilocybin Initiative, the campaign that made Denver the first city in the US to decriminalize psilocybin mushrooms since prohibition. Our M.O. is mycelial organizing, supporting communities in building power, equity, and response-ability towards shaping their destinies as psychedelics become integrated in society. We work to make change at the speed of trust, fostering solidarity and synergy between diverse communities to discover how psychedelic outreach, reform, and education can support collective healing and co-liberation.
OUR MISSION
SPORE is a community organizing and educational platform promoting community health and wealth, equity and justice, and responsible stewardship with psychedelics.
Outreach
All tendrils of our outreach efforts are aimed at nurturing trust and synergy in the psychedelic ecosystem. We create containers and host conversations that support the development of cooperative efforts, community-led projects, responsible practices, and marginalized community leadership.
Reform
We stand for community sovereignty and work to support communities in shaping their own destinies when it comes to psychedelics’ integration into society. We foster critical community engagement in policy reform processes by interfacing with policymakers while cohering and amplifying community power.
Education
Through a holistic, living systems approach to public education and community-based education, we incubate and accelerate community initiatives, fostering regenerative local changes that affect larger social transformation.
